Stand Up Against Substance Abuse

Sussex County Health Coalition is poised to launch a robust Drug Free Awareness Campaign beginning with the city of Seaford. This "Delaware Goes Purple" campaign is in conjunction with the Herren Project and will join forces with the state of Delaware to Stand Up Against Substance Abuse.

“We are losing a Delawarean every 22 hours to overdose. Addiction is a disease that touches nearly every family in our state, regardless of what zip code you live in,” said Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long “I am proud of the work we are doing to support those battling addiction, as well as their families, with the services they need. Delaware Goes Purple is playing a key role in raising awareness and erasing the stigma around addiction. No one has to struggle alone”
